Description
An impressive Victorian era Neoclassical converted gas chandelier. Made from brass with ornate filigree throughout. The chandelier is supported by an acanthus medallion that leads to a reverse urn over reeded rings and rods. The three rods lead to a rounded lower tier flanked by three light candelabras. The center which is supported by three reeded and acanthus scrolled arms is accented by a beautiful pressed glass shade with sawtooth edge and flower motif. The glass shade is beaded at the center and fits over a hurricane lantern. The lower side which is in eyes view shows an elegant tapered center with S scrolled filigree panels and a lower finial. Each candle light arm has a ring at the bottom allowing for the addition of crystals. A beautiful work of art that will light up any space!
