Description
A pair of chocolate mohair chairs by Leon Rosen for Pace. Features a unique triangular form with downswept arms and a plush seat. Each chair is supported by black tapered feet. The set was recently recovered in the brown mohair.
The Pace Collection was founded by Irving and Leon Rosen in New York City as a high-end contemporary furniture company which was in business from 1960 to 2001. They offered their fine furniture and services to the contract interior design trade. Their designs were purposefully and distinctly different from Knoll, Herman Miller, Steelcase and other renowned contract furniture companies. Their line of furniture was known for their rich and exotic wood veneers, high-gloss finishes, and shiny metals. Most pieces were made in limited editions or specifically for their elite customers.
