A stately antique golden oak high-back late 19th-century American bed. Showcasing a warm honey finish that highlights the prominent, sweeping oak wood grain. The commanding headboard features an architectural, gently arched crown centered by an ornate hand-carved acanthus leaf and scrolling vine crest. Both the soaring headboard and the matching, lower-profile footboard are structured with clean horizontal wood plank paneling that balances the elaborate carvings with classic, rustic lines. The frame is anchored by tall, stylized corner posts topped with elegant, curved scroll ears on the headboard, connecting to original contoured side rails that establish a sturdy, heirloom-quality foundation.
