Antique Lane Art Deco Jacobean Style Walnut Carved Blanket Storage Chest Trunk

Description

An impressive early Lane Trunk, circa 1929. Made from walnut with a cedar lined interior. The trunk features an ornate front with matchbook veneer design, acanthus embelishments and an ornately contoured molding. The trunk is raised over a Jacobean style base with ornate baluster carved front legs connected by an H stretcher to the rear straight legs. The trunk was made on March, 9th 1929.

Condition

Good antique condition; general use related wear. Missing piece of veneer along back right of top.
