Description

Antique Edwardian era Come-Packt buffet / sideboard / server. Made of quartersawn oak with Arts & Crafts and Mission styling. The cabinet features paneled sides, exposed joinery, and a large beveled mirror backsplash flanked by small candle shelves. The body of the console features three dovetailed drawers flanked by a pair of cabinets, supported by long legs connected by stretchers, and on rolling castors.

The Come-Packt Furniture Company (1907-1918) was a pioneering mail-order company from Ann Arbor, Michigan, known for its Arts & Crafts/Mission-style oak furniture, uniquely sold unfinished and unassembled ("come packed") in flat boxes for home assembly, saving costs and making quality furniture accessible to all.
